On 26-06-23, The International Day Against Drug Abuse And Illicit Trafficking Celebrated and this years theme People first : stop stigma and discrimination , strengthen prevention . An awareness event was organised in Govt. I.T.I model town patiala . Chief Guest Secretary S.ShivDular Singh Dhillon IAS (Retd.) , Civil Surgeon Dr.Ravinder Kaur, DMC Dr.Jaswinder Singh address the students that Drug abuse has become the most common thing these days and many youth are destroying their lives by getting addicted to drugs. It’s very important to sensitize our youth on the subject of drug abuse. They are ruining the lives of our youth and putting their future in a great darkness. The use of drugs is making their lives vulnerable and prone to destruction. Therefore, it becomes very important to raise awareness about it amongst our youth and prevent them from succumbing to it. At last , whole members present their Took a pledge under nasha mukt bharat abhiyaan to give up drugs and walk on a right path for a bright future. During this Program S.Upkar Singh (president gyan jyoti society) , Kaka Ram Verma , Mrs.Karamjit Kaur (Inspector Traffic Education Cell Patiala) and Whole Staff of the saket hospital , And Students from the institute were present .
